Breed-Print Towel or Plain Dog Towel? What a Frenchie Household Actually Needs

Most Frenchie homes already own a dog towel. It’s usually an old bath towel with a frayed corner, living by the back door, and it does its job fine.

So here’s the honest question: does a French Bulldog actually need a second towel, one with a Frenchie printed on it?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Here’s how we’d think about it.

What the plain dog towel is good at

If your Frenchie just had a bath or came in soaked from the rain, you want thick and absorbent. A heavy cotton bath towel or a dedicated dog drying towel wins that job. We’ll say it plainly: our breed towels are thin and lightweight on purpose, so they aren’t the thing to grab for a full post-bath rubdown.

Keep the old towel by the door. It’s earned its spot.

What the breed-print towel is for

The Truwnorth French Bulldog towel is the one that leaves the house. It’s 31 × 62 inches, light, and folds down small enough to live in a tote or the back seat. That changes how often it actually gets used:

  • Car seat cover after the dog park, so the muddy paws land on the towel and not the upholstery.
  • A spot that’s theirs at a patio, a friend’s place or the vet waiting room. Frenchies love a defined square of territory, and they’ll claim it fast.
  • Shade and rest on warm days. Flat-faced breeds like Frenchies run hot, so a towel laid out in the shade gives them somewhere to cool off between short bursts of fun.
  • Couch throw in the off-season. It’s big enough to cover a cushion your Frenchie has decided is theirs.
  • Beach and lake days, where most Frenchies are happier lounging on a towel than swimming.

The other thing it does is make people smile. It’s a Frenchie in sunglasses, and nobody owns a Frenchie because they wanted a serious dog.

Who should get one

  • Get the breed-print towel if your Frenchie goes places with you, or if you’re buying for a Frenchie person and want something they’ll use and laugh at.
  • Stick with a plain towel if all you need is to dry a wet dog at home.
  • Plenty of Frenchie families end up with both, one by the door and one in the car.

Quick answers

Is a breed-print towel good for drying a dog after a bath?
It’s not the best tool for that. Use a thick absorbent towel for bath time, and save the Frenchie towel for outings, the car and the couch.

How big is the Truwnorth French Bulldog towel?
It’s 31 × 62 inches, longer than a lot of standard beach towels, and light enough to carry around all day.

Is it a good gift for a Frenchie owner?
It’s one of the easier ones. It’s their breed, not just “a dog,” and it gets used all year.

Where can I buy it?
On truwnorth.com or on Amazon.
